Rosé wine has the flavors of red fruit, flowers, citrus, and melon, with a nice green flavor on the finish similar to celery or rhubarb. Of course, depending on the grape used the flavor of the rosé wine will vary greatly.
Discounting the few rare exceptions, rosé wines are not designed to age. It’s 2016, so right now you should be drinking 2016 rosé wines from the southern hemisphere, and 2015s from the northern. Fresh rosé wines are bright, vibrant and juicy; after less than a year, the wines tend to loose their aroma and flavor.
The alcohol content usually ranges from 10-12%.
